Installation steps

  1. Power Supply

    1. Connect 9-30V AC/DC to ‘power’ input. Note: power over USB will not work.

  2. Network

    1. Connect ethernet port.

    2. See more information in Network section and here: https://www.modio.se/docs/network.

  3. Connection

    Modbus TCP - Recommended

    1. Connect the controller on the same local network as the Energy Asset (e.g. Battery system or PV) and Metering.

Modbus RS485 - If Modbus TCP is not supported

    2. Connect the included 3-poled connector to one of ‘Channel 1-3’ on the controller.

    3. Connect the other end to the Modbus connector of the device.

    4. RS485 polarity: A, B and G refers to the labels on the controller.

Note: There is a chance that the installer needs to switch polarity A/B, since the standard of labelling modbus-polarity is inconsistent among manufacturers.
