Please note this applies to most Espen TCP installations apart from SolarEdge where the process is a little different, detailed <a href="https://help.feverenterprise.com/en/articles/12468887-espen-x-solaredge-self-install-requirements">here</a>. ​ When installing a battery and inverter for the first time, it is important to check that the inverter has the firmware version specified <a href="https://help.feverenterprise.com/en/articles/12305861-espen-supported-hardware">here</a>.

Process for setting up an Epsen installation that requires Modbus TCP.

Start by configuring a static IP address in the inverter in the LAN. ​

The Espen will boot and scan the LAN and collect IP address targets to be tested for the Espen Modbus Discovery. The Modbus Discovery will take a little longer, so please give this a full 5 minutes before checking the results. ​

Go to <a href="http://espen.cloud" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Espen.cloud</a> and type in the Espen ID. If all fields are green, the installation is complete. ​

If the asset is not connected, please take note of the IP address and send an email to <a href="mailto:support@fever.energy" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">support@fever.energy</a> requesting IP configuration with the IP address included in the email.
