Installation instructions

Fig. 1 & 2 - Power adapter and Interface panel.
Depending on the connection type, you will start either with step 1 or with step 2. If connected through RTU (depending on inverter capabilities and preference) start with step 1. If connected through Modbus TCP, start with step 2 instead.
(Only for Modbus RTU)
Assemble RS485 (Modbus RTU) cable according to the following positions, from left to right: Ground (GND), Data negative polarity (B-), Data positive polarity (A+).In situations where the polarity labelling from the battery system is confusing, a good rule of thumb is to ignore the letters and connect – to – and + to +.
For stability purposes, the male header of the RS485 terminal block can be screwed.
Connect both ETH1 and ETH2 to the Local Area Network (LAN).
Use Ethernet CAT6 UTP cables but we recommend STP cables for sites with high Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
It requires connectivity to the Internet from the LAN for the device to perform - DHCP and DNS.
Connect the Power Adapter cable to USB2 to power the device.
When in doubt during or after installation, please reach out to Fever for assistance.
Once the installation is complete, the serial number of the Development Box is to be sent to Fever.
